Travel restrictions are changing every day during the current CV-19 pandemic. There is often a need for a test and certificate to fly and gain entry into many countries.  The test usually required is a PCR nucleic acid swab test, which tests for the presence of the CV-19 virus.

Standard Service - Fast & Convenient Home Test 

We provide a PHE/UKAS ISO 15189 RT-PCR accredited path lab based testing service. Proven in practice this gold standard nucleic acid test for the virus meets international standards and has been accepted by all the airlines and destination countries.

If you are travelling to most places in Europe, Middle East & Africa, Americas, Asia Pacific please order our standard or same day expedited test service. If you are travelling to Hong Kong order the specific Hong Kong standard or same day expedited tests and you will receive certificates tailored for Hong Kong.

Whichever test and service you require, simply place your order online. If ordered before 12 noon your kit will be despatched the same working day. DPD 24h tracked service then aims to deliver the test kit to you the following working day. Orders received after midday Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be sent to you on the first working day after the weekend for receipt the following day. To speed up total turnaround time on this service its best to order the kits well in advance. So for peace of mind you will have the test ready to sample as early as possible within the allowed time window. Unused tests will not spoil when you order ahead of time.

Having completed the test follow the instructions to return the sample to the Lab via the inclusive Royal Mail 24 tracked service postage bag. Please note in the Pandemic Royal Mail are not guaranteeing next day delivery but don't worry if you need a faster service contact us.

After receipt of your sample at our accredited Lab. We process and report the test results to you by email the day after their receipt of your swab sample. This includes your test certificate and fit to fly certification.  

Depending on the airline and country entry requirements. These tests generally need to be sampled and processed between two and five days before the flight departure time. We will work as best we can to get your test processed as quickly as possible. We are confident that the timelines we have advised as above are achievable in most cases.

Expedited Services - Same Day  Lab turnaround Service -Tailored to your needs by one of our consultants

Due to the nature of travel we know that sometimes you'll need things quickly before a flight departure. Or sometimes your flight time and window for testing is just too tight to get the result reliably in time. You may also wish for peace of mind not to rely on standard Royal Mail 24 hour next day service to get your sample to the lab.

We can speed things up by booking for you one of our dedicated courier services which will guarantee to get your sample to the lab in the fastest time (extra charges apply). Our standard service Lab usually provides results the following day after receipt at the lab.

For these Same Day express services order the Same Day service. This provides a deposit, confirms your test and access to one of our consultants 7 days a week. There maybe more courier or appointment charges for example if a dedicated same day courier service or an appointment at one of our London clinics is incurred depending on your location and the urgency of your test.

Test Certificates - fit to fly documentation

Covguard has selected the very best accredited laboratory partners and we work closely with them to ensure a timely delivery of your test result. Our laboratory partners Medical Director and Biomedical scientists issue the certificates. All our certificates contain the key information needed to meet your destinations entry requirements. This includes:-

• Named and contact details of UKAS accredited laboratory providing the test 
• Test Methodology RT-PCR SARS-CoV-2 in accordance with ISO 15189

Terms of Service

Your online payment includes the Covid-19 PCR swab test lab report certification to allow you to fly and gain entry to your destination country.  

Of course we can’t guarantee the times described above. While it’s very unlikely that we won’t achieve these targets, we need to make all travellers aware that the labs and couriers we use are amongst the fastest and best in the UK. However in the current situation labs can experience very high volumes of requests and Royal Mail do not guarantee next day delivery therefore results are occasionally delayed.

We cannot take responsibility for any travel disruption, but rest assured, we will be working with you all the way to make sure your travel is successful.

You will ultimately be responsible for the quality of the samples you provide and any fees arising from your tests. 

Our Laboratory and Clinical Partners will be processing healthcare related data. By ordering your test you consent to allow us and our Laboratory partners to process your order. This means confidentially emailing your order  confirmation, payment receipt, despatch delivery note, and your results to your chosen email address in addition to contacting you by phone and email when necessary.
